Impressions as a New Player on Realism Mode

Hi all,

I thought I'd make a quick post noting a few observations of what I've enjoyed and what I think could be worked on from the perspective of a new player on a low exp account.

Positive Features:
Increased harvesting for Fishing and Woodcutting really improve the pace of the server. Seems like thieving NPCs may have a higher success rate as well which I really appreciate.

On Realism mode I feel like you've done a great job on handling what items are and are not available from shops.

The server is generally well polished with minimal bugs.

Blast Furnace works! Smithing is my favourite skill so this makes me rather happy :)

The Alora team hold excellent events. Both this Realism tournament and KOTS have been a real thrill so far.

Staff have always been very present and communicative when I've had questions.


As for issues that I've encountered, there's only really one that I'd like to raise. You're probably aware of it anyway:
The lack of alternate options during the early levels of Agility and Hunter make it feel like much more of a grind than it needs to - especially on a low experience game mode. I'd really like to see a few extra Roof Top Courses and additional Hunter options (even just an extra type of bird like tropical wagtails would help a lot).

@Realitea Firstly, congratulations on the gains, first to achieve 1200 is an impressive feat. I completely agree, Hunter and Agility are currently lacking a lot of depth. Hopefully all Rooftops, Kebbits/Salamanders/Bird houses will be implemented in the near future.

Nice to see you love the server and you already got you name out there with the nice realism grinds!
On the hunter and agility part ivwould love some other methods to be added aswell but seeing what we have now and what we had in the past those 2 skill already had some nice updates amd fixes but for the new game modes with low exp rate you dont really havr a choice atm then grind the boring part out :/

Nice Realism grinds man. I know recently somebody suggested adding birdhouses which would be an alternative for some Hunter Xp and it was very popular with the community. Agility is definitely a grind until 52. Keep up the good work man.

Those are some great observations, I second all of your statements.

 

As for the constructive criticism you're also right on the money. Extra rooftop courses and Hunter options would be amazing.

However;

Tropical Wagtails does exist in Alora.

 

This is how you get to them:

 

Teleport Wizard:

From the Red Chinchompa teleport you arrive at the Hunter Icon in Feldip Hills.
Head
west and you should find the Tropical Wagtails, there should be 4 if memory serves me right.

Great feedback, and i can agree as hunter and agility r the 2 of not many skills i need to max and theyre just a pain from not having many different options as you level them up, it would be great to see more rooftops ect.. congrats on the 1200 total aswell :)

I appreciate you for taking the time to provide your feedback for the server. I definitely agree there should be some reworks for both Agility and Hunter, and I'm glad I got to read some suggestions in regards to those skills. :)
