What is your suggestion?: I would like to shed some light on a topic that goes somewhat unnoticed. I know that a lot of people think about it, but it's rarely discussed... My suggestion is that of a plea, a plea to the good staff of Alora to perhaps rethink the current achievement diary reward system. The achievement diary reward system in its current form is a noob trap-- no one who first joins knows enough about the server to make impactful decisions that will affect their account in the long-term. I don't think any new player will be too quick to browse forums for the best item purchase order. And since the progression is so fast at the beginning of the game, it seems almost inevitable for build paths to go awry.
Is this in OSRS?: Yes.
Has this suggestion been accepted already?: No-- but it was originally suggested by Not Salter back on September 30th, 2017(;;topic23551). It received high praise from the community, but the thread was locked and nothing happened. I found it through one of the sticky posts in the Suggestions sub-forum, it was in the miscellaneous section. The reason I wanted to bring it back is because I, too, feel like this would be a worthy allocation of time and resources.
How would this benefit Alora?: I have developed this nagging feeling about the poor choices that I have made when it comes to choosing my achievement diary rewards. As a new player, I had no clue what was what, or that these choices would have such a lasting affect on my character... I know that I speak for a lot of people when I share this mindset: the Achievement Diary rewards don't have to be so eclectic. Add a refund/fail-safe of some type, or rework the Achievement Diary reward system to make it more streamlined. I think something like this will alleviate a lot of discouraging feelings overall.
Thanks for your time,
sincerely,
Mitch
