If we have to wait to get special attack now surely you may as well allow us to use well as often as we want with no times seeing as we wont get special back till times up, As if use pool and getting notification that I can't get spec for another 48 seconds then I wait 48 seconds and try to use again but I can't as the pool still has original use timer on it still.

screenshot for what I am talking about , as if you want to regain hp/prayer you'd be better off using women/altar even if you are a donor :D

I can understand the special attack timer in the pool, but it does not make sense to have to wait for the original timer to be done despite the special attack timer being done to restore our special attack bar. I just feel the nerf could have been handled in a less convoluted way. We can restore everything else while the special attack is on cooldown, but waiting for the original timer to be done to use the special attack restore (when that specific restore is already ready) is something I can imagine do not wish to deal with. Removing the original timer may actually be a decent good solution, but then it becomes better than the ornate pool in our POHs.

yeah i get where you're coming from it's kind of strange that the update was even added because it makes things a lot more of a hassle for Pkers that are maybe competing in events that are going to have to wait 5mins or a lil less after fights to actually go back out because of spec restore. I feel like a way to make POH still viable would be to maybe speed up how fast you can get special attack back maybe? Reduced to like 4 minutes? Just an idea of a way to get around it

It was suggested by someone else to remove the timer for POH pools as a solution, as that’s how it is on OSRS. The timer could be tweaked a bit for the Edgeville and ;;dz pools, but the POH pools will always be the better ones to use.
