What is your suggestion?:

Have the ability to mine blurite ore, and create blurite bolts, jade bolts (e), and blurite crossbows.

Is this in OSRS?:

Yes.

Has this suggestion been accepted already?:

No.

How would this benefit Alora?:

If you folks are familiar with the two blurite rocks in the Asgarnian Dungeon, they cannot be mined currently.

The only way to obtain a blurite ore (outside of the trade post) would be as a drop from skeletal wyverns (1/107). You can also see they are slightly overpriced due to their rarity.

I understand that the only use for blurite ore would be to change the color of the rock golem pet, but I propose to extend its uses. Currently, you can smelt blurite ores into blurite bars, but blurite bars cannot be used at all at an anvil and therefore useless.

On OSRS, you have the ability to use blurite bars at anvils to create blurite bolts (unf) (+ feathers for blurite bolts), and blurite limbs (+ oak stock and crossbow string for blurite crossbows). It makes sense to have these anvil options as you can smelt blurite ores into blurite bars.

Lastly, if you decide to make blurite bolts, you can use jade bolt tips on them, enchant them, and create jade bolts (e). It is a nice alternative ammo to use if you don't have access to ice barrage or a dragon spear. This would also give jade more value.

I don't really think this is worth the time personally. The mining/smithing XP is kind of irrelevant with the current options for early levels. As well, the crossbow and bolts will serve no real purpose other than as a novelty item.

I feel as if taking the time to implement this would be just a waste, it wouldn't be used much and I don't think it ever will be. Maybe it could be added into somethings drop table as an uncommon or common such as rock crabs or something easy to kill.

Totally get what you folks mean about this suggestion probably being a waste of time to implement. I just find it odd how blurite ore can be smelted but can't be used on an anvil afterwards, as well as skeletal wyverns being the only monster who drops the ore. If they can be obtained that way and be smelted, why not also be able to mine the rocks and smith the bars at an anvil, you know? Just a thought.

Bluerite is currently used to color your pet Golem blue making it a very valuable item in TP.

[*]Ore-coloured Golem pets have been added!

You can now recolor your Golem using an Ore of your choice on it.
This version of your Golem will save on logout.

*Once you recolor your Golem, you will not be able to get it back to the original color.
With that being said, you could recolor it using a different ore.

[*]Options include:
Tin
Copper
Iron
Silver
Coal
Gold
Mithril
Adamantite
Runite
Granite
Unavailable through conventional methods -- Rare drop from Gargoyles (0.76%)
Blurite

Yep, that is the only use it has in the game, hence its value. Like I mentioned to the other two folks, I just find it odd as to why it has a smelting option when the bar itself is useless.

Another thing I forgot to add is that you can use blurite bolts to make jade bolts (e) which can be pretty useful in PvP for ranged pures. I edited it onto my original post if you folks would like to give that a read.

I would support the suggestion!

Its not at the expense of my time, so why shouldn’t it be implemented

Recently necro'd by a YouTuber, these bolts somehow regained popularity despite being garbage.

The proc chance on the bolts is horrible, and even when they do proc they then need to roll against the targets agility level (should be noted the second proc is heavily influenced by agility level) causing them to be lacklustre at best.

You will notice even the Osrs Wikia uses language like "One could conceivably" due to the fact that no-one has actually even wasted their time testing what is likely the worst stun in the game.

Unsure what niche accounts would use these - if anyone at all.

I would prefer dev time be used on anything else.

Sorry but no support from me :(

I'm not really minding the fact that blurite is rare, so i'm not sure why you want to make it mineable,
since that would make it less rare as it is now... No support
