As of me joining this server (which wasn't long ago so it isn't saying much). I've seen a total of one PK event. And if I remember correctly, the reward was I think 50M? Let's just say I'm right. 50M to risk your own items, against other people in a bracket, for 50M. Not really rewarding. Yet PvM events reward 500M?
But, the amount of times I've seen people complain about being killed deep wildnerness is over 9,000. So, I don't think it'll hurt to have more frequent PK events with way better rewards to reap. Something to keep the actual PKers active and doing something more than just deep wilderness PKing & possibly encourage non-PKers to try something new.
Now this isn't me trying to fix deep wilderness PKing or anything. I mean honestly it's only the same people you see in the feed actually PvPing. It couldn't hurt to host more events at like Edge for more money, maybe emblems, PK supplies, etc. Something to encourage people to try something they might actually be good at but never tried.

I fully support additions in content catered towards PvP and I agree with what seems like a misbalance between the PvM and PvP community events. Personally for me, I'm unable to join a lot of these PvP events simply due to my timezone and being late to register.
Perhaps something like a week long event where only edgeville kills are counted towards your number of kills and the person with the highest amount would receive a reward on par with the rewards offered in skilling and PvM events. Would encourage new players to try PvP and might even make them end up liking it.

I'm not sure how you've only seen one PvP event, when I hosted two earlier this week and king purple will be hosting two more this weekend.
Personally, I try to balance my events out between PvM/Skilling and PvP, with events such as the tournaments, LMS and edge pvp events. What you have to realise, is that Alora's PvP community isn't the largest, even the largest of PvP events, such as the aforementioned All-stars tournament, was hard to put together due to participant numbers. Juggernaut events in particular, which clans often request, have become stagnant and rarely done due to a lack of turn-out.

I'm not sure where you've seen this, but no tournaments, assuming as you mentioned brackets, have such small rewards. For example, the Dharok tournament I hosted yesterday, had 350M cash split amongst the top three contenders, with items being completely safe on death as it was in our ;;1v1 arena. Perhaps, you meant the Edge-PvP event, where each kill is rewarded with either 20/25m cash or an item from a goodbiebag, as well as loot from the player-kill itself.
Lastly, the notion of more PvP events = 'safer' wilderness & less complaining just isn't realistic. Even if all the events in one day were PvP orientated, it would provide maybe 2-3 hours of relief, assuming that all PKers online at the time choose to attend, which they never do.

Honestly, I don't mind trying an event similar to this however, unless the rewards are truly astronomical, players will most certainly lose interest and yet again, you'll only see the same few names after the first 1-2 days.
Regardless, we greatly appreciate suggestions regarding events, myself and king purple will see if we can implement this week-long Edge PvP event, as well as rework existing PvP offerings.

The event managers and staff in general actually do a pretty good job on the PvP events, sadly the pvp community just isnt the MAIN community here, its like 80% Ironmen/pvmers. Pking on the server is getting a lot better however i've been saying it for over a year, there still needs to be more incentive to pk in less valuable gear (e.g. welf veng pk at edge, welf brid/nh at chins, edgepvp etc. How to go about balancing that i'm not too sure as streaking/emblem "farming" (Just pking with emblems and selling/exchanging them as t10s) is already good money, however very few people do it.
I've suggested multiple things such as a % chance at a random PvP shop reward on kills in hotzones, simply more PKP per kill for pking at edge(will encourage more edge pkers instead of deep wildy pking) and a couple of others which i forget.

I think it's kind of ridiculous that one of the ideas would be to 'give pkers something more than deep wildy pk', I'd want more activity in deep wildnerness, not less.
Yes people complain a lot, i find it funny and i'll purposely attack an ironman in wildy because for some strange reason they think they're exempt from violence.
I for one would like to see some more NH events.. NH event is what started me pking on here, so it does bring in new pkers over time eventually.

We host usually 1-2 tournaments per week, followed by an edgeville event and/or a last man standing event, ocasionally we host a juggernaut event. There is a irl $ prize tournament up right now, with a qualifier happening today, so, I don't think there is a lot more the event managers can do.
As far as the better rewards go, we have been fixing multiple bugs in the wilderness, hosting tournaments to promote it and creating content. We can't always be rewarding and "buffing" one part of the community, we need to make everyone happy.
We will keep trying to revive the wilderness in any way we can, but this is a problem in OSRS aswell, go outside the revenant caves and it looks like a desert.

Why would it be ridiculous to give pkers something more than just deep wilderness pking? There is more wilderness than just things near mage bank. Lol. It wouldn't hurt anyone to try out new spots if said events encouraged them. The 'hotzone' could be in Edgeville and it'll still be dry. I see no problem with encouragement to pk elsewhere.

I don't quite know how you got "pking events = safer wildernes" from. I said I wasn't trying to fix the wilderness lol. I tell people all the time in the feed that if they didn't want to be killed, they shouldn't be in the wilderness. What I should've worded better is that there should be more to the wilderness than just the deep wilderness pking between the same 5-8 people who actually go out there and pk. Sure, they're great at it and getting pkp isn't a problem. But I can bet they get bored waiting at KBD to kill the same person for rune. There's nothing wrong with trying to get PvP more active somehow, someway.
Just an FYI, most PK events that are hosted (DH/Bridding and 1v1 Tournaments) are hosted in areas in which items are kept on death.
Well that's good news. I assumed the tournament I saw on the broadcast was a 'risk your stuff' kinda thing. Which would've been a bummer.

Hosting events for edge pking is braindead lol. Veng pking is 90% rng & NH tourneys are regularly held every week or two when events or done. Not to mention the EIM tourney, GIM tourney, or the upcoming Allstars event (support ur boy btw) have all been PVP events with actual cash prizes.
Create incentives for teams & clans to come. Deep wildy single pking alongside edgeville bridding are the only forms of PKing with an actual skill gap involved between players & they're both the only things most single teams these days do lol. Nobody is gonna wanna watch a DH tourney, it's hoping you hit bigger with your axe than he does ;/ Lmfao.
