The above link is the thread showing the list of suggestions that have been approved, it was last updated in December of 2018. Players are requested to cite this thread before making a suggestion so that requests aren't duplicated.

Currently the thread shows 97 community supported suggestions that have been implemented.

The number of suggestions that are yet to be implemented are as follows:

25 Slayer suggestions

24 Pvm suggestions

19 Donor/Achievement/Vote shop suggestions

20 Forum/Website/Highscores suggestions

27 Pvp suggestions

73 Quality of life suggestions

65 Skilling suggestions

11 Minigame/Map suggestions

34 Miscellaneous suggestions

2 Staff suggestions

31 Armour/Items suggestions

15 Classic/ironman suggestions

52 Bug fixes

This totals to 398 suggestions that have the support of the community but are yet to be implemented.

Although i have no data on the rate at which suggestions are approved compared to the rate that they are implemented it *feels* like the suggestion rate > implementation rate. This means that the number of suggestions on that list (398) is only going to increase.

I would love to hear the communities opinion on this matter, do you think this is a problem? If so, what should been done about it? Is it simply unavoidable? Is a suggestions overhaul necessary? etc.

Looking forward to reading the replies!

Gp

I’d definitely want to see the suggestions approved by the community being implemented, however we have to understand that implementing all these suggestions takes time to create, there is always going to be more pending suggestions then those who get implemented.

I believe Omicron is doing his best to implement as much suggestions as he can each update.

I honestly don’t think it is a problem and knowing how many people play this server I do think the amount of suggestions is unavoidable (unless Omicron hires people to help him, but then again, not sure if there is a budget for this)

Same, would make the game 100x better, I hope omicron focuses on an update that purely focuses on everyone's accepted suggestions.

I can see that there's an overwhelming amount of suggestions that has yet to be implemented. As you folks know, Omicron is the only developer on Alora, and it will take a pretty long time to implement all of those suggestions. We have to be patient as he works on them. I'm sure he is doing his best to keep Alora the #1 RSPS. :)

Couldn't of said it better myself he has been doing an amazing job keeping the server updated and when he releases things they are well coded and if there is issues he fixies them as soon as he can, In time I do see a lot of the suggestions be added but there will always be some items on the list that are going to be lower priority to others :)

Coding isn’t easy and we only have one developer. Give it time and it will be implented. At the very least it has been accepted.

As pretty much everyone said we all need to stay patient and let our developer to do his job. I hope these suggestions will be implemented to the Alora in the future!

Not too long ago he said on Lowkey's stream he'd go through the list of sidelined suggestions and work his way through it right after he finished implementing Konar/Farming guild so unless OSRS releases another major content update you can probably assume the next update will consist of mostly QOL/bug fixes.

Sounds good, right? I've expressed my opinion on multiple occasions. So far, it's been a slow process. This being said, knowing the amount of suggestions and the specificity of my own suggestions makes me believe 99% of suggestions are in one ear and out the other. I'm not saying what Dan has said simply is not true nor will it ever NOT be. Broken promises aren't my cup o' tea. This is a major factor as to why I have decided to look elsewhere to play in the meantime, successfully.

Salt? Yes, very much.

Plus on top of all these there are 487 topics within bug reports, so guess around 100 unique or so bugs which are still needing to be fixed up plus with extra bugs which may come into play.

I just really wish we'd be able to get another developer in to help Dan or so, we had Jason for a little while temporarily and I can remember that being a pretty nice time. Posted a couple bug reports and they were replied to and sorted pretty quickly back then. But that's not really how bug reports work anymore when posting on the forums. (A couple have been fixed though when reporting them directly to Dan, so I feel like the forums need to have more attention paid to them.)

Is this a problem? I guess so, although the server is doing great and the updates we do get are amazing, so I am very pleased with how Alora is doing.. But the amount of suggestions/bugs which are basically just there to never been seen to is pretty saddening.

I feel like every week or so it should be a priority to have at least 3-5 suggestions implanted with a few bugs fixed up as well. With maybe polls happening often so we're able to vote on which suggestions are to be implanted first. The staff team could go through the suggestions list and pick out 10 reasonable ones which we could vote on, the top 3 or so would then be implanted in the next weeks update.

An example of something which dissapoints me a bit to see;

Crazy archaeologist teleport: "Currently unavailable. Try again later."

This has been like this since the server started.. Will it ever be added? Could it just not be removed from the list if not?

Something like this is literally a 30 second job, if that, and it's just something which never gets fixed.

Whether it's just simply because Dan has forgot about it not working or maybe he thinks it was already fixed. But I'm sure there's probably a bug report about this which was posted back in 2016/2017 which just has never been looked at or just skipped over.

I really think that omicron does a great job doing what he does but 1 or 2 people should be "hired" to help somewhat. I'm sure there has to be at least 25 people that having developer experience and are willing to help with minor things for cheap or even free. Regardless, omicron is doing a superb job and I really have no complaints about this server!  :)
