I suggest that we implement a way to remove members and add members to a GIM team.

 

Reason: I see a lot of teams, over 20, that have players that are extremely inactive. There are several teams with 2-3 players that only played the first day.

 

Here are some ways to go about this.

 

Limitations to adding and removing members on a team:

  • A team can only remove 3 players and add 3 players. This is to prevent players consistently swapping team members and creating a trade-like economy.

Cool-downs:

  • The cool-down between each addition and removal will be 72 hours. 
  • Example: If you were to remove a player, you must wait 72 hours before removing another one or adding another one.

Requirements to adding and removing members on a team:

  • The player(s) that is/are intended to be removed must be inactive for 15 days. 
  • The player(s) that is/are intended to be added must be either solo or removed from another team, after the 72 hour cool-down is up.

I expect this to be completely controversial. So, by all means, reply with your input and ideas and maybe we can get this sorted out.

I can agree with this wholeheartedly. all of it. Perhaps steeper limits but something along these lines needs to happen.

Yes, that is a great point. Members should be well thought about before added. That also doesn't make it fair to see a bunch of players in this game mode getting held back because half of their team is inactive.

I like the concept but here's what I think. I think that if u remove a player, they can't join a new group for at least a few days. ( 3-5)

and if you plan on replacing the member, you should only be able to invite someone who's playtime is under 10 hours. This would prevent an eco all on its own. Having a cooldown on adding a new player would be unnecessary as long you can't add someone with over 10 hours of play time.

Also if you get removed from a group it should be of a majority vote or decided by the leader of the group. Something simple like a Vote to Kick player from Rainbow Six Siege or just a kick-player option at the GIM orb.

 

The cap is a nice idea, only 3 removals and 3 additions before being capped out.

 

I would really love to see this in game but with this tournament going on, I doubt anything will be done. Maybe talks of a DQ in order to remove/add players would intrigue omicron. Otherwise +1 from me.

well, that also goes for Elite ironman everyone complains about their partner quitting, my partner quit and all he did for me is give me a rune scim now am at rapier, dfs and much more stuff on my eim "Eim ash" i thought i chose the right partner cus he was in the same clan as me but he got cleaned and he left Alora to his Rsps, didn't even know him that much, what am trying to say if you really wanna play GIM you gonna have to chose wisely instead of randoms.. there is no limit to chose your teammates like Elite ironman..

People don't have to be "random" to have fucked up our team. One of my clan mates got banned for botting his second day and another one of my clan mates just mooches and I've known them a while but never played a game mode like this. I started a week ago and noticed that the beginning of GIM is probably the hardest some of the most necessary times to have teammates, so it's either cuck yourself one way or cuck yourself another.


well, that also goes for Elite ironman everyone complains about their partner quitting, my partner quit and all he did for me is give me a rune scim now am at rapier, dfs and much more stuff on my eim "Eim ash" i thought i chose the right partner cus he was in the same clan as me but he got cleaned and he left Alora to his Rsps, didn't even know him that much, what am trying to say if you really wanna play GIM you gonna have to chose wisely instead of randoms.. there is no limit to chose your teammates like Elite ironman..

I agree with @7ashkal on this one. GIM is meant to be you and some friends teaming up and grinding until endgame. GIM is not meant to be you and some friends/clan members grinding and then suddenly replacing someone just because they are inactive for some time. Chose your team wisely don't just partner up with randoms.

Alright so why cant we just pay to have someone removed if eim can do it? The spot could be permanently closed! at least give a way for the people that remained playing to be competetive

omicron made it that its unlimited time to add players so you chose wisely instead of choosing so fast like EIM, and who would like to start playing EIM then he has to spend 40$ cus he partner quit? and you dont chose anyone of your clan you choose anyone that you know really good in your clan.. i did the same thing he was inactive af and then got cleaned and he quit..

EIM supposed to be the same way, is it not? How come they can pay for it. People make mistakes, why can't we ammend those mistakes.

So brand new players have to play alone for multiple weeks to find people to play with although the point of the character they have made is to play with a group? that just seems so backasswards :[

Id just go refer to the actual osrs page on their pole results for this and its extremely clear what the majority of peoples feelings are. This is NOT osrs and I realize that but they are trying to give us the same experience as that does.

It's not hard to code, and the only people complaining would be EIM or GIMs with successful teams. Why not give us the opportunity to have a successful team.


Id just go refer to the actual osrs page on their pole results for this and its extremely clear what the majority of peoples feelings are. This is NOT osrs and I realize that but they are trying to give us the same experience as that does.

I totally agree man, it shouldn't be some locked in, set in stone, holy hardcore, no fucking turning back decision which it completely is right now. 40$ is stupidly steep for erasing some code lines but itd be worth if my team could even be competetive. I don't even want the 5th member I just want the inactive gone is all. By the pole results its extremely clear that very, very few think you shouldn't be allowed to reinvite. But id be willing to bet they are all hardcore maxxed out ive got 40 friends in this game seasoned veterans.

For some reason I feel like the server owner/operators wouldn't go for that. They want their server their rules all the way generally. in the end even if all of us want it if Omi doesn't want to change it he wont
