What is your suggestion?: Nerf Void Bonus Damage

Is this in OSRS?: Explained below

Has this suggestion been accepted already?: Not Directly

How would this benefit Alora?: At the moment, you can obtain the BIS range gear (elite void) at such a low level and continue using it in endgame content, everyone knows void is overpowered, especially off-task. Here is an example of end game raids setups in osrs and you will see how much of a difference it is compared to Alora

Notice a difference?

This goes further than raids in my opinion but it is the main place you see it. It would be nice to see BIS armor actually be BIS rather than camping void + tbow for a whole raid. If Alora truly wants to stay as close to OSRS as has been said over and over again, it would be nice to see this update.

I truly support his suggestion or rather say bug fix, since the max armour has nearly zero use outside tasks. This really needs to be implemented to keep the game more stable.

I support this, I guess it also comes down to how our raids is coded and all the other bosses etc making void as powerful as it is, with osrs raids have different rooms, being able to keep moving at Olm to avoid being hit etc would all need to be fixed up and working properly.

 

Would be nice seeing all the bosses mechanics / defences and everything fixed up so we require more of a osrs setup for these bosses

I'd love to see this change in the game, there's a lot of players who spend a lot of time to get their max gear but when it comes to raids people with max combat and only void grinded can do the same damage/points as the others.

Support.

 

 

But we have to keep in mind that there's also the chance that new players won't be interested in doing raids. Finding raids teams is pretty hard, imagine if they're harder.

It's further than raids but yes I understand, I updated the thread with a picture of my raids set up which gets 10-11k points per raid to show the drastic difference. But you can see it clearly through other parts of the game (GWD another example).

Yes I still want to keep void relevant, but as shown in the pictures and in your reply that there is basically no upgrade from it currently in Alora, thus nerfing the bonus damage would be the best option.

Void is truly best in slot at every monster off task, would be nice to see the actual BIS gear being used again.

No support. By using void you are opting for more damage over lower defenses. If you want a change for everybody using void, make the bosses actually hit accurate amounts on lower defenses.

Neutral. Like what Kitty is bad said, using void means you’re sacrificing defenses to do more damage. Would like to see how this suggestion goes.

I feel that the current raid system is balanced. Void on Alora has little to no difference to void on OSRS, with that being said the same way you can use maxed gear on OSRS you could do so on Alora. If this implementation would be put to place then I see no use for void in the game. People using void are sacrificing defense for damage which I think is balanced. No support from me.

I can see where you're coming from on this but, switching to void you take barely any accuracy loss. Elite void should be able to max hit over Arma but should not be more accurate and should not produce more DPS over time. This could also come from some monsters not having the appropriate range defense stats.

How can you feel it's balanced when you look at the OSRS raids set up compared to Alora? Using "maxed gear" on Alora offers the same if not less DPS than void because void produces more max hits without the accuracy loss and overall more DPS. I'm not saying nerf it to the ground but it should not be more efficient than max gear setups.

I'm not suggesting that you have to bring 26 switches for raids/end game content but the BIS gear should be superior compared to an armor set that you can get at level 40 combat. It makes no sense at the moment to have void be the best armor you can wear for GWD, Raids1, Raids2, etc.

As you can see void is mostly BIS for the lower range defense monsters but once it hits a certain range defense stat, armadyl is preferred.

100% support, void is just too strong on here due to the defence of npc's not being the same as osrs, like a blowpipe is basically BIS for 95% of bosses/npc's which it should NOT be because it's meant for fast dps on low-medium def monsters. I would love to see a rework of defensive stats on npc's to make other weapons/methods viable, crossbows are practically irrelevant on here but I digress.

I wouldnt mind this. But everytime omi tried to nerf bp or void half the server got mad and he revert it in some way. Nowadays most people bring a 8 way switch for scythe too since its pretty good so thats something. Also on osrs you can do olm with 0 food while on here its impossible to run head which mean we atleast need some inv space for brews.

Definitely support. It's going to be quite the adjustment for players but overall this will create more diversity in the PvM scene!
