Basically i would love the same looting bag mechanics as osrs. When you die with the looting bag it should be lost and same goes when you destroy it. But like in osrs the items should be on the ground for ~2 minutes for you to pick up when you destroy it.

I'm going to No Support this. These mechanics would make it near impossible for UIM's to use a looting bag, as you'd have too many items to pick up within the 2 minutes without getting another looting bag first. All your stuff drops on the same pile when you die so you couldn't selectively pick up just the items from your looting bag.

I'm also not convinced that this is how the looting bag mechanics work in OSRS (for UIM at least), but it's been a while since I've played it. From what I remember, if you die in OSRS with a looting bag (as an UIM) your items stay on the ground for 60 minutes, not 2 minutes. Otherwise UIM's in OSRS could never use a looting bag either.

Let me know if I've missunderstood your suggestion =D.

Gonna stay neutral on this as I’ve never played an UIM and thus don’t feel like I should have a say in this suggestion.

From the osrs wiki:

Players used to be able to "deny" their killer from getting items in the bag by destroying the bag, as it destroyed all the items inside it. This was changed in an update on 5 April 2018 so that if the bag is destroyed, all items (except food and potions) would be dropped to the ground.

The loot then stays on the ground in osrs for about one minute i believe. And yes you wouldnt have time to pick everything up if your looting bag is full. But  if that's the case then you can just use the suicide method and get another looting bag, or maybe just keep the same mechanic as there is now, where u wont have to get a new looting bag.  But i do still think it would be nice if you could implement the destroy option and then the looting bag would disappear (else it would be too op).

I think it wouldn't hurt if you keep the mechanic with the looting bag exactly as it is now, but add the destroy option as well. The only reason i really thought of this is because i just got a pet which i want to keep, but i also need the magic logs which i have in my looting bag, but i dont have enough coins to ensure my pet, nor get a house and store the pet there. It wouldn't take long to get the 10m to ensure my pet but still i feel like if the destroy option is in osrs and it is a method that uim use, it should be added here as well. It might not fit alora or it would be unneccessary but i feel like it would be a nice feature.

@UIM Georgie

Btw i just realized that i used your guide when i made my UIM, it gave me a really good understanding of the gamemode when i started, thank you very much for that :D

I will not support this cause UIM are already limited with storing items since OSRS has alot more to offer like Zulrah , vorkath , poh etc .

@Brain off

Ah I think that OSRS passage is referring to what happens to the looting bag (and its contents) when we get killed by other players. In terms of PvP I think it's fair for the Pker to get the contents in the looting bag (this might be what happens already, I'm not sure).

I totally feel your pain with regards to the pet situation lol. You might know this already, but if you pick up your pet and die with it it will just drop to the ground as an item (60 minute timer) and you can pick it back up, it'll only dissapear if it's following you.

I would support there being a "Destroy" option on the bag (all contents then dropping to the ground for 2 minutes) as it could be a helpful way to get items out of your bag without having to suicide (and so you wouldn't have to buy back untradable gear, although you can get around this currently by dropping untradable gear just before you die and picking it back up before 60 or 90 seconds have passed).

Glad you found it helpful :D

I’m neutral on this. I can somewhat understand your suggestion, but since I’m not too familiar with how UIM works, I can’t say for a fact whether or not this will benefit those players.

I don't think it's really necessary at this time, especially for such a small community of UIM that don't like 'easy methods' anyway. :P

I'm very close to supporting this but I feel like it's a change which isn't needed. Until the player has a decent amount of items that they need to keep they could use the bag as a bank without even needing to suicide to use it which I feel goes against the spirit of the mode. Not worth implementing a change like this for the sake of an hour of thieving stalls to get the 10m to insure your pet.

Not a bad suggestions but no support from me.
