Hi all,

 

Just a quick suggestion for you all. Group Ironman!

 

Now I know some of you will think "But Otto we already have EIM", well that's very limited to just two players. I think this would be a great idea where a team of perhaps 4-8 players could interact with each other. It would sort of be like a worldwide Dungeoneering team? Exp rates could stay the same as EIM and it would function the same just simply with a bigger group.

 

There could be both individual and team HiScores which I think would be very interesting to see.

 

There would leave a lot of potential for future tournaments in there as well.

 

I'm open to any suggestions regarding this mode.

Just think about the tactics and the competition, 2 people gathering supplies while the others PvM etc. A Raids Team just with your EIM Partners.

 

Potentially would attract certain Clans to Alora as well. I love the idea, 100% supporting it!

This is actually a pretty crazy idea that I would enjoy the fuck out of, if implemented.

This would so fucking good. I know we already have Elite "duo" ironman. But man, playing with a few mates on a team of 4-8, planning out who does what and be a legit team,  would just be epic.

 

I know how much support Group ironman already has on OSRS, many very upset over hearing nothing from Jagex this Runefest, so I don't see why it wouldn't get the same support on here.

 

Also good points with the tournaments, would give alot more options for future events and to brand Alora out to more people.

Actually not a bad idea at all. I would love to see an update like this and this would be very enjoyable. Definitely support!

While this could be an amazing idea to bring more people together and make Alora more fun, this also has its downsides. 

I think that this mode would be filled with "older" players who know each other and easily would be able to shape a great group.

 

On the other hand, it would make a hard time for new players IMO. Even with EIM we saw trouble with new players trying to look for partners, who didn't have a long partnership.

Now imagine them trying to shape up a group of 4-8 people. Would end up in a disaster. We have to remember, that we as a community have a responsibility for new players and not exclude them too much. 

If this somehow could be avoided, it would be an awesome idea. 

This is just my two cents to the suggestion :)

Where as I do see where you're coming from, we can't let this intervene our pursuit of happiness! 

There could be a "GroupIronman" Clan Chat where players without a team can find one or something along those lines.

I like the idea would love to see this implemented and the idea of group ironman tournament sounds great as well. Big support.

i've had 1 partner quit on me, not about to have 3 quit on me at same time :L.

 

jokes a side, i think it's a good idea personally. as previously said it will bring groups of players to the server as "eim" did.

I know a lot of people were disappointed to see this not being implemented yet in OSRS so I think it would be awesome to have it here on Alora. I think a lot of players would really enjoy this game mode and it takes some stress out of choosing an elite Ironman partner that might bail on you a week or two into playing.

I think if the specifics were polled and thought out this could be a great piece of content.

I'd actually play if this was introduced. 

 

 

EDIT: I believe this would actually be a great attraction for Alora, and in my opinion - an update that could possibly bring many new faces, as well as a return of old faces to Alora if this was to be implemented. Omicron would certainly need to promote or have others, such as YouTubers promote such an update.

This legit might be the first ironman mode id actually play and enjoy. (me being a normie addict that says enough!)
Only drawback i can see is the amount of gamemodes we already have... But this idea is too good for that argument!

As long as you have a dedicated team, this could be fantastic and would be fun to see people compete. Definitely support this and would love to see it get implemented in due time.
