I'm sure a lot of you have encountered this at some point in your alora career, you decide to do some slayer and you have a specific monster in mind so you go try your luck at the slayer master. 100 tedious cancels later you finally get that monster that you wanted.

I'm suggesting we get the ability to be re-assigned your previous slayer task(either for free or points scaling with donor rank)  so it makes grinding slayer tasks that you actually want a bit more tolerable.

I know the main reason I got super donor was for the free skipping of tasks but the current system right now almost feels like a hastle to use. I know a few of you are gonna argue that this is overpowered or too easy but it's mostly just a QOL update that saves you possibly hundreds of unnecessary clicks when going for a certain task. I'm almost 70m slayer XP and feel like this would be an amazing update without buffing slayer too much. Thoughts?

SUPPORT, I feel this would be a QOL update that is needed. at times you can spend about 10 mins trying to get a task and having the same one on back to back the same task you just canceled.

No support, boss slayer is already far too easy with the super donor skips and the ability to choose the amount killed per task.

Super donators are going to end up doing whatever task they want at the end of the day whether it takes them 30 seconds to get it or 10 minutes, the super donator perk basically encourages it. Skipping tasks is just tedious and not fun.

I agree to this, but i'd have to be this suggestion:

Give super donator+ the ability to get their last task assigned. This will however cancel their streak. The # of kills is also random.

This way its impossible to abuse (as i agree with sass, boss streaking is far too overpowered rn), whilst making it possible for specitic monster hunters to keep doing their thing without having to skip 1000x.. This would make the suggestion litterly a QOL suggestion + added donor benefit.
Another option would be to add this donor benefit to a higher donor rank.

Yeah it should probably be a donator perk or another option would be make it cost 100 slayer points or something to be re-assigned the task. I certainly agree with the canceling their streak part.

As stated previously, it’s already easy enough for super donors+ to get their desired task. Although I have personally dealt with this struggle, I believe I would only support it if My Love’s suggestion was used. It could cause too many problems with players who don’t buy instances, leading to the main boss room being flooded without an instance.

Total support, and agree with the provisio that you can't build a streak.

Having the ability to cancel tasks for free, but having to go through several chat options is pain. IMO it doesn't impact on difficulty at all, its simply a QOL update. Won't really affect how populated bosses are (it just saves us a few mins of redundant clicking).

Awesome suggestion :)

Support with the idea that it cancels your streak as stated previously by a few others. When a super goes for the next task maybe an option 'Would you like to be assigned your previous task, this will reset your streak' or something along those lines.

I'm relatively new to the server, so take my suggestions with a grain of salt, but here's my take on this suggestion.

I'm not sure if it is the case here (it doesn't seem to be), but actual Slayer tasks in real RS are weighted, meaning that there is a higher probability of getting assigned certain monsters.

I am personally not a fan of completely removing RNG from certain aspects of the game which are traditionally RNG based, such as having a certain task assigned to you, receiving drops, etc.

One solution I could envision being implemented entails two things:

1) If tasks weighting is not implemented, implement it. This can be done in the same fashion as in OSRS.

2a) Once tasks are weighted, allow donators (the level of which is at the discretion of the developer) to "customize" the weighting scheme. I put customize in quotes as it cannot be an entirely free choice, as one could simply put 100% on the monster they want to grind, and 0% for the rest. Some statically defined schemas could be defined beforehand, and the player can simply choose the ordering of monsters in said schema. This ultimately results in obtaining your desired task more often.

2b) Taking it one step further, this customization could be made accessible to all players with a fee, either in gold (tipping off the slayer master), or in Slayer points. Futhermore, this could also give way to a more ambitious idea of having multiple slayer masters with different slayer assignment schemas.

This is something I had worked on extensively on a server of mine (not a public one, just a play-around project to keep my Java sharp), and the results were quite nice. It's just a question of whether or not the players would be on board with such a concept.

Definitely supported. I too am Super Donor and HATE having to click soo many times to try and get that task again. Sometimes it would literally take 20 minutes to get that task again. So for sure yes.
