What does everyone think of this idea?

 

i think it would be fun to add a new quiz system of sorts.

 

for example

every 30min the server asks a random added question and first person to answer is awarded a reward for example Large Money Casket that gives randomly 250-750k coins.

 

players must be first to answer the question to be rewarded.

 

for example : What is the minimum defense requirement to equip justicar armour.

and a player must do ::answer 75 defense.

 

another reward system might be to obtain quiz points everytime you answer a question correctly. with a quiz shop yielding different rewards.

Not a bad idea for a fun random, but eventually these types of things become who has memorized the answers and is not fun. Also we don't need an extra way to introduce GP into the game at the moment imo. No support.

Not because it's a "new method" of making money, but yeah for fun.

yeah i forgot to add. eventually these will be memorized, so a counter method would be needed to combat this. Example : maybe a mod can be used to create 20-30 new questions at the end of each month.

that way the questions randomize and new questions come in every month.

it wouldn't even get to the point where its memorized but somebody would ahk script the answers. 

 

It asks question A? Simple. Press the hotkey that gives the answer to question A and so forth for the other answers.

 

I don't give support for this but I really like the idea as it gives something to reward players for not afking and truly playing the game. Maybe have it do random mathematical equations?

just have a script where it randomizes the integers and then randomly chooses what type of math problem to give, and then do it that way.

No support. Similar to what @Moe said adding another influx of GP to the game without an alternative money sink will have negative implications to the economy over time and entices players to develop or use scripts.

I don't support it in the format you've suggested, but the core idea is a good one and could be a lot of fun. Perhaps quiz's could be done as events or something similar? It might be the kind of thing that could simply be done as player/staff run events that doesn't require any coding into the game.

This has no use currently for Alora and while we are a RSPS we do try to replicate OSRS as much as we can.
