What is your suggestion?:

Add either an award, or a completely new rank, that's based on creating guides and tutorials related to Alora.

Is this in OSRS?:

It's a forum related suggestion so no, but it is definitely an idea that was used in plenty of Runescape fansites over the years.

Has this suggestion been accepted already?:

No.

How would this benefit Alora?:

First off it's a symbol of gratitude; a reward, or rather recognition to those who take their time to write guides about the game and help new players. This is coming from the most objective point of view as I myself am not one of those people.

If there was a little badge for content creators, or an entire "sub-staff team" dedicated to people who are making guides, there'll be a lot more dedication for people to join in and share their methods and tips with other players. More guides, more videos, more people trying to help.

P.S

Basically I'm suggesting two things, one being a simple award under the user's avatar just like the other forum awards, or if taken on a more serious note, a completely new rank under the title of "Content Team" or something amongst those lines. I don't know which one is more preferable but I'll leave it to you guys to decide - at the end of the day they're both very similiar and would achieve the same results.

We don't have an award for this currently and it would be a good addition in my opinion.

For this reason, I support this idea.

I liked the idea, I support.

Create an userbar called "Guide Master" or "Guide Maker".

We already have an award for this. See topic 38635 and scroll to the Innovator award.

For this reason, I do not support this idea, sorry.

I’ll remain neutral because I see we already have the innovator award, but if you put a twist on it like @Gangsterboy3 mentioned it could be cool.

Stickies can be put on many different type of threads... again, this is solely focusing on guide makers.

Meh, as a guide creator i appreciate this idea but dont find it very necessary.. people should write guides to help others, not to get rewards such as badges.

Another issue i see with this is: how would this practicly work? Make a guide and get the badge? That would make the badge worthless.. minimum amount of guides? People will spam guides instead of making good ones... Look at the quality? Who decides?
This idea would either become worthless or way too much effort for what its worth. No support for now, if you can come up with a hood system i am open to change my vote!

Yes, yes and yes. Did I already say yes? Full support. Need this yesterday. Kthx.

Edit for clarification: I support a forum award to those who have created guides but I'm not sure if a rank is necessary. In fact, I don't support a rank for it.

I fully agree with what "My Love" said. I feel this could be good if added correctly as said. also could mean a bunch of guides that are subpar/spam guides.

I will say tho I think there needs to be more forum awards/ badges.

Perhaps we could have it so players must have a minimum of 2-3 high quality guides that have been pinned in order to obtain the award. This way it can only be awarded to players creating quality guides as opposed to high output, low quality.

i appreciate all the people who make guides, so thank you to everyone. I don’t think a actually user bar is needed though. A award/awards imo are fair enough because it still shows your dedication and your work but guide maker isn’t a ROLE. If that makes sense! Neve the less good thread!

I have to agree with Nhk, that there is a "Sticky" award already and sticky is mainly obtained by getting guides pinned. But if there was an "unique" guide maker award, I would not be against that at all.

I don't think a separate rank is necessary at all, at most if you really wanted an award for being a guide maker sure.

You should not need an award or a rank to make quality content for the community imo, and players who make quality content get a sticky award. Maybe in the future if it gets more support.
