Raids 1 QOL Changes
This has been put together by Deviant Warriors in an attempt to make Chambers Of Xeric balanced.
What is wrong with raids? - At the moment there is a lot of things wrong with raids and this has resulted in Chambers of Xeric being essentially dead content and no one wants to do it anymore. I have to say after doing 80 Theatre of Blood kills that the Verzik boss is much easier than Olm and this is why it needs balancing here are mine and Deviant Warriors suggestions to Omicron on how to balance it.
How it can be fixed
End Crystals - Once Olm's hands have died every time the crystals start dropping into the room, the crystals do way too much damage and they are supposed to do the same damage as the red portal attack that olm gives to the people killing him. I suggest that you make these crystals do the same damage as the crystals that drop once you have that red ring around you because this is how it is meant to be. Another thing about the crystals would be that they drop way too fast, slow down the attack so that it drops a lot slower. The crystals should drop where the player is also standing and not randomly, on OSRS you are able to dodge the crystals this way and I hope that this can all be changed.
Olm's head animation - At the moment in Chambers of Xeric the olm head doesn't move and it just attacks everyone in the room but on OSRS the olm head moves on a rotation and attacks the players that are infront of it or in a certain radius. This is so that the players can "run the head" which means that they will be able to dodge Olm's attacks easily and this will help with solo players. Be aware that this isn't the main problem with Olm at the moment but would make it a lot more appealing for players to do.
Olm's Right Hand - At the moment the way to kill Olm's right hand is to range it down with ruby bolts and blowpipe. As ruby bolts were nerfed and probably won't be reverted I propose that we make the hand better by making mage more accurate on it like it is in OSRS, this would make the ruby bolt problem gone and there wouldn't be many complaints about them as rubies are only really good at Chambers of Xeric anyway.
Trident - To go with the mage accuracy Quality of Life change I propose that we make the trident the same as it is in OSRS because at the moment the trident attacks a lot slower than it should and the animation is different to OSRS. This would make the trident a lot better and would give mage much more of a use on Alora. This isn't really a change towards raids but it is a general update that would help raids as such.
Scavengers Respawning - At the moment Scavengers in the Chambers of Xeric don't respawn and there is only a certain amount of them you can kill per raid. I say that we make the scavengers have a respawn timer which would help with the "unlucky" drops you will get throughout the raid such as at ice demon you would get 2-3 brews and get unlucky but if scavengers can respawn you can go back and kill those, this would make the raid take longer than it should which in my eyes makes up for the lack of your own brews being needed for the raid.
Overload Potions - At the moment overload potions are only dropped by tekton but maybe we can change this by giving every boss in raids a slim chance to drop some overloads so that you might get lucky and get yourself an overload before you get to tekton which would make it a lot better, only make the bosses drop 1-2 and not drop one for everyone to make it balanced.
Tekton - Currently Tekton is way too defensive in Chambers of Xeric and this has a big impact on solo raids especially because it slows down the raid a lot and in general is just a pain to deal with. I suggest that we lower Tekton's defence to make it a lot better for the solo raids and raids in general. Also, Tekton on OSRS is made so that the user can dodge the melee attack that it does and I think this should be added to alora which would make Chambers of Xeric a lot less afk than it is right now. There is currently a lot of downtime in raids and with this and all the other olm changes it should be fixed.
Raids Chest - With the recent update storage boxes were added inside of raids but you aren't able to build these at the moment and I think you should be able to build them with planks that should drop from Savengers or the chests should already be built throughout the raid and all of the chests in the raid should be linked so you can open any of them and still have the same items in them as you did at Ice Demon for example.
Loot Chest - Once the raid has been completed you are able to loot the final chest to receive your loot but currently it doesn't have a purple glow when someone gets an item, I suggest that we either make it so that the glow above the chest goes purple when someone gets a drop or the chest should go completely purple like in raids 2.
Worm Dropping - In the thieving room of Raids 1 when you try to drop a worm you get a notice saying are you sure you want to drop this, this should be removed because it isn't necessary to warn you.
