I'm glad Arclight was finally added, but 600 task points is a lot and some people (like myself) may not want to do tasks every day for 20 days. So I'm suggesting that there is another way to get arclight: Using 20 (or so) ancient shards on a Darklight.

Here is how it works on OSRS.

"Arclight can be made by using Darklight on the altar in the centre of the Zeah Catacombs with 3 ancient shards in the player's inventory. It initially has 1000 charges and gains an additional 1000 charges for every 3 shards added, and can hold a maximum of 10,000 charges. One charge is consumed for each successful attack when using Arclight, with the exception of special attacks. If all the charges are consumed, it will revert back to Darklight."

However, I like the idea of our custom way of gaining it. So no support.

Exactly my first thoughts: "oh gosh, 600 points ._." but otherwise it's damn op and you know what you've worked for once you call it finally yours tho. BUt yeha, about 1 month of beeing active doing tasks is alot and should be a bit nerfed for my opinion. The way you get it is good just to many points needed.

Yeah kinda sucks waiting 3+ weeks for update, to find out you need to play at least another 3 weeks to access the new content...

Unfortunately this is how it is on a lot of games. Runescape especially.

I think 600 is a lot of points at the moment but you have to remember that the easier it is the more it will become worthless and dead content, if you will. Look at PC, no one likes pc but it's somewhat active because of Void.

The thing is once people get what they want from the shop they'll stop using the daily task feature. This keeps the feature relevant, for longer.

As Jake above has said. This is a measure to ensure that the shop and feature remains in use and does not waste away. It is simply another thing to help engage the community, so they may have a diverse and colourful experience playing on Alora. If you try to rush it, you will only get annoyed.

Take your time. Enjoy the game for what it is, and you will remain in our lovely community for a long time to come. No support!

Kind Regards

As said above. The way how it is working out on OSRS with 'Arclight made of darklight on altar'.

20 days is a really long grind to achieve this. Especially for people who don't have the ability to play every day.

Just as Alora wants to add 'all' things OSRS has, I think Arclight should be achieved the same as the OSRS way, but with the option to buy it from the daily-achievement store too.

If we wanted to give it the option to be received the same as on OSRS the entire quest line would have to be coded. Farming greater demons to drop arclight is already inherently not the same way of obtaining the item as on OSRS

no support from me , i think that it should be behind that amount of points if you consider how op the arclight is.

I think changing it right away is a bad idea. After all nobody has one yet seeing as it’s not really possible. I think the weapon is going to be super powerful, which means it is well worth the points you put up for it.

The way it's obtainable right now is good in my opinion, like people already said it's a powerful weapon so you gotta work for something like that. No support from here.

I like the idea tho which someone suggested that doing daily tasks several days in a row grants you extra points so that would make getting arclight etc faster.

The point cost was nerfed, so there is no need to have another way to get the arclight as its stands, its a powerfull weapon so its should be hard to obtain.
