Making bars is one of the most annoying things on ironman accounts unless you get rune bars from c keys which in my opinion is not very fun. I like mining for my bars but getting the coal is a pain. There is no single npc that drops bulk coal in a decent rate. In osrs coal is not a problem for ironman since the hey the blast furnace coal shop. So my suggestion is to make coal easier to obtain in one of three ways:

1) Add coal in bulk to the ironman only shop.

2) Add coal with a decent drop rate in a decent amount to crystal demons and dragons.

3) Make mining coal faster i.e more than 1 coal per action with the possibility of the extra coal being noted (I know this is a donator feature but adding it always for coal is not a big deal).

once you have the levels raids also gives loads of coal in a decent rate.

cerberus drops 120 coal as a common drop aswell.

I might have gotten unnlucky then because 670 kills only got me 5k coal maybe 6k.

Must try that out but haven't seen a coal drop from the 35 raids I have done. Ik its not many raids though.

Killing any type of dragon after finishing dragon slayer II gives noted bars for donors.
Just talk to Ellen in Myths guild to enable it.

With the addition of more iron man modes which are ment to be harder than the regular 'casual' ironman mode, I don't see why implementing your suggestion would a be a problem.

Adding coal to the shop is definitely a NO support from me. I have about 18k coal sitting in my bank on my iron-man just from pvming. If you are lacking coal, spend some more time PVMing or mining. You're supposed to spend time getting your resources on ironman mode, having it the store defeats the purpose.

 

Making bars with a coal bag is also pretty nice, just don't be lazy. Addy dragons are also a very nice source of bars now, so just spend some time there. If you want rune bars without spending GP on vote books, start slayer streaking and save up your slayer points, or kill rune dragons.

1) The Ironman gamemode is about earning your own resources, being able to buy ores from the Ironman gamemode is against the core element of the gamemode itself.

2) There are other monsters with coal drops.

3) This is a donator feature and should remain as such.
