This is my second Hardcore Ironman which i'm trying to max (not going to talk about the first one...) and the only thing which keeps me going is the xp rate. Personally, for me Ironman mode is too fast/easy with it's x40 xp and I always wanted to play Ironman with lower xp rates, but only Hardcore has it. Yes, we had Classic mode added recently, don't get me wrong, it's good, but it's not the same as real Ironman.

 

So, my suggestion would be to add x5 xp rate "Elite Ironman" mode, which would have their own highscores, icon of course, which I already made:

and armour (if possible, also same colour as icon). P.S. I would make armour module, but i have no clue how.

 

This is just my suggestion and the icon can be different, I accept all the criticism and I hope to see this game mode added.

Edit: We can't forget Ultimate Ironmans too. Don't have an idea for icon yet though.

Love the idea! Ironmen should deserve x5 xp rate aswell if they want to have it.

Support this. I like the regular iron game mode, but 40x XP is absurd, and I don't like the idea of HCIM on Alora, spending countless of hours building up that account on 8x XP, just to die to a silly mistake or DC even. I wouldn't feel very motivated to play my dead hcim after gone from 8x to 40x when I had built up a solid account on 8x XP.

Please? Maxing an ironman doesn't feel as rewarding as it should. The only way to challenge ourselves is to play HC but have the fear of death.

I like the idea here, though I feel like there should be something else different about the Elite ironman mode to really make it something different and unique. Not sure what that could be though. Definitely going to consider this, though :)

In all seriousness, it sounds like a good idea on paper and I support it. But I feel like the majority of players would quit regular ironman mode to play this, which would then make it a dead game mode. And is there any risk of the player base being spread too thin across 6 different game modes?  What about 7 if you add in elite UIM? How many is too many?

 

I agree with Omi, there needs to be something special about this game mode other than simply nerfing the XP rates if it was to be added.
