Often times when trying to list items on the trading post, the first thing people will check is how much the item is currently going for, or what it typically goes for. However, often times (specifically in Classic mode) players will find that there are no other items, or that the only item on the trading post is listed at a much higher than normal price. This makes listing the item at a fair price more difficult.

If we were able to search for a specific item's history we would be able to more accurately price our items on the trading post. The history should only be for the past week and for the past 10-15 transactions, in order to prevent too much data from being stored. The history should show the price of the item that was bought, and at what time the item was bought. Not only would this make trading through the trading post more efficient and user friendly, it would diminish the need for price guides, and allow newer players to get a feel for the economy much more easily without having to regularly ask for price checks.

I'd appreciate your thoughts on this addition, thank you for reading.

Sounds like a good QOL update for classic players, i personally don't play Classic but I've always wondered how their eco works, now with this suggestion if it gets added It'll probably make the situation of prices/econemy more clear for them.

You got my support!

First off I 210% Agee with you that it could use some updates.

Even as a normal player. Not even just classic. My first day on the game I had no idea what the economy was and the drops I would get for example I’d go to list it and be like uhhh the guide price is no where near what people are listing it for. And sometimes you do go to list a item and there isn’t any listed so you’re left there like.. uhh In this economy I could list it for like approx the guide price or it could be worth 20m and you wouldn’t know it. But I can see why for classic it’s more than likely s lot more of a issue.

Wouldn't mind seeing recent actual sell prices for items that haven't got any in tp at the time you wanna sell em, in classic its really hard to know what prices things actually buy and sell for. Only thing id be worried about is someone abusing it by selling stuff to their alt to inflate / trick others in to believing somethings worth a lot when its not.

Likely posting for post count tbh can't get veteran with out it for some reason...

As long as we find a way to not manipulate the system Ill support the idea.

I'd love to see some kind of transaction history.

Could possibly be done via the website so more transactions can be stored.

Doesn't sound too hard to actually do that and it seems like it would help a bunch of classics.

Support.

I’d support this. Gives an idea of normal trading prices too, rather than marchers.

I had also thought of this, however if only the time of sale was displayed I think most people would realize that 15 of a certain item selling within a minute, or a few minutes, would be rather suspicious. If the names of buyers/sellers were added as well then this would require a lot different accounts to abuse, and still look rather suspicious when viewed closely.

I feel like this is likely something that nobody would spend the time to abuse, and if it became such a problem the system could be reworked or rules could be implemented to prevent further abuse.

I don't see virtually anything negative about this suggestion, and it would be a great QoL thing for all players.

This would be super usefull to help keeping track of prices for example, since they  tend to fluctuate a bit in classic.  100% Support this. =]

I'd love to see this. Would be useful and saves asking people what the price of the item is and getting a bunch of different answers, would give more of a solid idea of an items price. +1

I spoke with Omicron about this, and it's a good idea. Not sure exactly how it will get implemented but it definitely is on the radar.
