basically, i feel like you should get an option to full reset your account to a brand new hardcore instead of continuing as an ironman

 

that way you get to keep your donor status and the name you chose

 

idk might convince more hc's to donate for donor status since they wont lose it if they die

but osrs doesnt have donor status the way we do

Can understand your point of view but will still go with a No support.

 

If in the future OSRS implements some type of thing that allows hcims to pay to have 1-2-3 lives and such...sure i don't see why but until then.. if u die just make a new hcim.

Since we do not currently offer donation swaps I might even agree with you here.
But, you understood the terms when you created your account. Nowhere does it say you get a second chance (even if you get reset).

You understood that if you died you will become a normal Ironman and you still donated for that account.

 

No support from me. You chose that mode knowing the consequences of dying & what it would mean.

 

EDIT: I'd like to clarify that I would like to see this if they started doing donation swaps.

Like many have stated above, this is an interesting idea.
I died on my Hardcore account a while back and now it's just an unusable account with a bond on.
100% support! :)

Ooooh, very nice suggestion!

I'd love something like this tbh. I always have trouble coming up with names, and since I've already used "HC Elsa" and "Elsa HC" on previous dead hardcores, I wasn't able to use any of those on my current hcim. So I ended up just calling my most recent hcim "HC Elsa 3".

I think this idea has potential. I don't like how in posts people will only support if osrs does this. It shouldn't matter if the real game allows does something that we have to follow their lead, we are a rsps. If you think it's a good idea, support, If not, don't support. I would love to see this on Alora. SUPPORT

Support. I'd rather start from the bottom with the same account than make new one and start buying bonds etc.

 

If this goes through, do not forget to add "toggle reset/keep playing as ironman" option

This one is an interesting suggestion. I have to say I was a fan of the idea seeing I was once a HCIM, and died. I eventually de-ironed as well because I wasn't a HCIM anymore and really wish I got to keep the name on the account. 

 

The issues with this suggestion is that this is something that would be completely new content (OSRS doesn't have this), and it would bring problems when it comes to the High Scores. 

As good as this suggestion is, I don't see it in the future for Alora.
