Recently some players have reported losing their items due to someone else knowing their passwords. This is likely due to those players reusing passwords between different games and communities. Many of those other communities have been leaked in the past making it easier for hackers to get a hold of your information. We encourage you to activate 2FA so you have the highest level of protection on your account. If your account is hacked there will be nothing we can do as we have offered you security for your account.

 

(You can change your password via forum)

if you want to see if any usernames/emails you use are leaked, go to www.leakedsource.com and type in said email/username. 

THIS is how the hackers get your password. 

The OSRS YouTuber, "A Friend" made a video on it a while back.

i advise everyone to do this asap i've just been hacked the guy who did it got ip banned but not sure if items will be replaced so make sure you're account is safe!

Done this as soon as i started, Cause i know what can happen if you don't give your account proper protection
