Hello,

 

I noticed the media button located in the navigation bar directs you to a unavailable thread. This is probably because the thread is either deleted, hidden, or in a private section. By the looks of the URL, it was used to show media of Alora before it released, so no point in bringing that back as it would be out dated, although old images are always fun to view for nostalgia feels. 

 

I have some ideas for what the media button located in the navigation bar could be used for (what it could direct to):

• An Alora scrapbook thread could be added to the forum and also pinned. Players would be able to share their own Alora images there...whether it be images that hold good memories of Alora, or images they took of Alora that they just like best/they find their favourite - 1 post per player. 
• A Video of the Month competition could be a new thing, with a new theme every month. It could direct to the winner's video on YouTube for a month. 
• Sneak peek images of upcoming content. 

If I get any other ideas, I will update the list. Input is welcome.

When I first joined a few months back, the media button basically linked to a thread that had all of the images/videos used within our advertisement's on places such as Rune-Server etc.

How ever, I'm definitely a fan of the whole Youtube video of the month, and scrapbook idea's you mentioned and would love to see one of those implemented in some way. I do think the Media button should go back to showing images of our server, content, etc, just for the sake of potential new members visiting the site for the first time so they can get a feel for the server while deciding whether or not they want to join. How ever the media thread could be left unlocked and become part scrap-book for those of us who are already here on the server, allowing for the thread to show even more content, or just plain good community fun.

Exactly! If the old thread still exists, they may even just be updating it to include some of the new content since it seems kind of out dated thinking back to it now.

It has indeed, thanks to this thread. I think members of staff were unaware of the thread giving errors when trying to view so it looks like it's been fixed.

I like your ideas for what could go there, not sure if I support those exact things but I get the point of your suggestion to make that area useful.
