Hello everybody,

 

I have an idea for IM, HCIM, UIM and ofc. for others to make barrows items tradable for barrows points. 

 

Example (you'll set the points amount by your opinion):

 

Ahrim's skirt - 50 - 500 points.

Torag's helm - 50 - 250 points.

etc.

 

Points could be randomly.

 

 

Solution: this will help all IM mode players to give away duplicates for little stack of barrows points.

Support. Barrows is a terrible grind for very little profit or reward, and become of the randomness, could spend your day doing barrows runs to not even get a proper set.

While I can understand the reason behind wanting this too happen I personally think it would take the achievement out of getting the stuff you actually get.
I mean it must be horrible grinding for particular sets and I am dreading it as I've just started a HC Ironman myself but I also think this will make getting these sets too easy.

It would be nice if you were able to give the Old Man some Barrows items for Barrows points. Even if it was a low amount, just to help yourself out towards getting a random barrows set.

Ye I love this idea, I still got some barrows items to go but I cba grinding them out because of the randomness. Support!

I like the idea, support. So long as the rewarded points stay at a reasonably low rate like you posted. :)

I like the idea, but there would have to be some sort of limit. I could go to the Trading Post, purchase 20 guthans sets (worth next to nothing), take them in here and buy Dharok sets for profit.

While this makes sense for players who cannot trade, it would not work for non iron players. Perhaps something along the lines of a small gamble. Where it takes 15000 points to buy a random set, you could offer a full set and 4000 points to get a different random set.

This way players have to complete Barrows runs and aren't 100% guaranteed to get a better set. It's a small gamble, but will benefit players who have done several runs and got repetitive items but not the set they need.

I fully support this. Having a ton of duplicates and having to grind 11k points to maybe get a torag's set is no fun,duplicates would help you get to those points faster.

I'd support selling Barrows items for Barrows points, good for all the hoods and coifs and hammers I have no use for.

Not sure how I feel about this, I think if this were to go through it would need to be an extremely modest amount of points (100-300 max).

No support, it's the same grind that you have to do on OSRS.

Took me over 550 chests for every item, simply don't play the game mode if you don't like the grind.

support, id also like to add maybe an option to buy a random barrows piece for like 4k pts aswell, so you dont have to save up 15k just to buy something

I think the point of the ironman modes is the grind. Having the ability to get a random set of barrows with points just by doing so many chest runs is already enough.
