[Wreckage]

This guide is more or less stripped from a combination of update posts by Omicron with a few additions.

While it may be unnecessary, I wanted to give this its own topic # for players to view.

 

A few things to note about the bloody key:

 

1. Similarly to emblems, bloody keys can no longer be protected on death. Instead, they will be dropped on the ground.

2. If a player with no risk ( ~3 items and not skulled) manages to pick up a key in the wilderness, the looter is still at risk of losing their key.

3. Considering the previous mechanic (where you can obtain bloody keys by killing a player), it only makes sense that these keys become tradable.

4. A value of 500,000 has been given to each key to increase your risked wealth (or your victim’s) for PKP calculation purposes.

5. if you kill someone for this item it will be reverted to the Ancient key form as a drop and will lose the crystal blood on it and still PK this key.

Revenants in the Revenants cave has a chance to drop a FULL bloody key

Bloody key spawning is another alternative to seeking the riches of the bloody chest (see below)

 

Ancient key - TRADABLE

Crystal blood - UNTRADABLE

Bloody key - TRADABLE

 Ancient key + Crystal blood = Bloody key

 

These 2 monsters are the crystal dragons and crystal demons, as seen below:

Teleport Wizard > Skilling > Black Chins > Run northwest

 

Crystal dragons can be found directly south of the Lava Maze in level 38 Wilderness.

These powerful dragons are similar to Mithril dragons and are able to use all 3 combat styles.

Teleport Wizard > PVP > Demonic ruins

 

Crystal demons can be found at the Demonic Ruins in level 44 Wilderness.

These less powerful Crystal enemies are similar to Black demons, but slightly more powerful.

Crystal blood (less common than dragons)

Ancient key (less common than dragons)

 

Very rare

Amulet of the damned

 

Revenants
Revenants have a chance to drop a full bloody key!

This eliminates hunting ancient keys and crystal bloods

Teleport Wizard > Dark Castle > Run slightly northeast
Alternative: Wilderness obelisk

 

Level 40 Wilderness cave entrance
This entrance is slightly southeast of the Lava Maze

Revenant ork: 0.53%

Revenant knight: 0.66%

Revenant dragon: 0.79%

 

Bloody key spawning! 

Ironman can NOT loot the key!

Players must have a minimum combat level of 57 to pick up!

Every 45-75 minutes, an announcement will be made to all players that a key will spawn at a certain location within 3 minutes. 

This will give players time to prepare and gather supplies in case they encounter any fights on the way to obtain the key.

The location of the key is random and the locations available are spread across the wilderness.

Pirate's Hideout

Revenant caves

Fountain of Rune

Rogue's Castle
Axe Hut
Deserted Keep
Ice Plateau 

 

Bloody chest location (best I can do to keep it simple)

A global announcement will appear when a player has opened the chest!

 

 Players will now be skulled once they open the bloody chest. 

(there will be a warning for the player to continue)

 

Loot: You will receive between 1 and 3 items as loot.

There are over 60 unique items that can be received from the Bloody chest!
