hey there,

 

I just bought the bloodhound pet from the donor store for my iron man.

I thought the pet increased your chance on getting a clue scroll from monster.

This was not the case, so I got suggested to make a suggestion for it.

So here it is.

 

 

When you equip the bloodhound pet it will increase the droprate for clue scrolls a 5 to 10% (was not sure how high the droprate for clue scrolls are, just started playing) but it will be good for ultimate/hardcore iron man. This will help them alot. I think.

There are some other donateable pets, if you also have an idea what they could do, leave a reply or make a suggestion on that specific pet.

(plz don't be rediculous in the benefits you give to these pets for example: give JalRek - Jad a bonus of 1000 prayer. This would be gamebreaking and ruining the experience) .

 

I hope some fun ideas come up, and that this idea/suggestion comes into the game

I really like the bloodhound option, isn't too overpowered too.

 

Skotizo pet could teleport you to skotizo when it's spawned maybe? not too sure on that idea but i'm sold on the bloodhound one.

I'm not expert in coding, so the possibility might not be there. I looked up OSRS characteristics on Bloodhounds, to find this feature is not available on them. Ring of Wealth (i), however, is an item that will increase dropped clue scrolls in combat. I did come up with some variants though, let me know how they sound.

 

 

Fishing pet: Heron - "When following the player, the likelihood of finding a clue bottle while fishing will increase by (Initial base chance) - (Fishing level - 25) 

 

Woodcutting pet: Beaver "When following the player, the likelihood of finding a clue nest while woodcutting will increase by (Initial base chance) - (Woodcutting level - 25) 

 

These features are earned in-game without the need to donate, but also offer profitable means of going for skills, in conjunction with killing for clues. Maybe a more versatile method of collecting scrolls will help players with grinding them out.

 

P.S. Equations listed here are taken straight from OSRS Pet drop rates, and will need to be tweaked to accomodate the higher base chance.

I do understand where you are coming from, you would rather have people working for benefits instead of buying benefits. But if you donate you want to have some benefits added to it. I donated because I wanted to get to Donor zone.

Why, because it's like heaven for iron-men. But then i had the points. What to do with them. I bought the row(i) (increased drop rate why not) but further more it were cosmetics and pets (glad to see no op weapons or something in there). Not saying to give the iron-men the abilty to buy op weapons or pets with redicouls benefits. But give them a slight benefit with donating.

I think this sounds like a good idea. Give pets some kind of meaning. 

 

I disagree with the "Pay 2 win" model.

But since we already have purchasable items like ags.. I don't see any type of problem with this.

Yes to the Skotizo pet that would be awesome!

 

OT: I think this is a good idea, although there are a lot of ways to get a lot of clue scrolls this could be a good way to increase the chance of getting one.
