Everyone who has an ironman knows the grind of getting the illuminous ranger boots. there are only really two ways to get the boots. C keys or Lucky Implings, neither of which are very consistent as lucky imps are always packed by fellow ironmen or regular accounts hunting d imps and lucky imps for gp. C keys are just very unlikely that you actually get rangers and is not practical to open 500 c chests and still not have received a pair.

 

I Think they should be added to the ironman shop for a substantial fee that is worth substantially more than the street price so that ironmen have a guaranteed way to get rangers and not have to spend countless hours @ puro puro in hopes they get extremely lucky.

 

Any feedback would be appreciated.

Honestly, there isn't a shop in 07 where you can buy ranger boots, it's all based on rng just like 07 like Monaco said if you don't wanna grind for ranger boots we do offer a de-iron option , Don't really support this as i was a ironman myself

Gonna have to agree with Monaco. As annoying as it is, it's part of the grind of an ironman which makes it unique from a regular player. If everything was easier to get soon there would be no reason to play an ironman.

difference is on 07 there is a consistent way to get them through med clues. on here we have to just hope that a lucky gives us one from their massive drop table. or c keys give them which is even less likely. its hardly as grind as it is stupid time being wasted for no reason.

1/200 is better than opening 500 c keys and getting an onyx or spending like 20 hrs on 100 luckies only to get holy sandals.

Well I mean, back to the same argument, it's a grind but that's kinda the life of an ironman. I mean I understand where you're coming from I just feel differently myself, + I still think rangers boots on here are a lot easier to get than on OSRS, I'm not sure if the ratio between the difficulties is on the same level as for other cases but I personally enjoyed the grind as it made the reward even more satisfying.

You can also get them from mining the shooting stars and clue scrolls. For us ironmen who have already gone through the lain to get them, I can't support this.

Don't support this at all, you signed up for it! This is what it's all about, just the straight grind.

Agreed, I know I'm not an ironman, but it was never designed to be easy or fast. Just gotta keep going and hoping.

Stars are another chance for rangers.

 

But Monaco is spot on, sorry. Clues, lucky imps or crystal chest. Be grateful there is crystal chest and chance from stars.

I basically agree with everyone else: boots should not be added to a shop. If anything, (and I don't think it's necessary) obtaining rangers from clue scrolls could me made more consistent (I have no idea how the drop mechanics here compare to osrs). 

 

Besides, adding ranger boots to a shop could have major consequences (if we ignore the fact that they could be incredibly expensive) to the supply and demand of ranger boots in general. What'd stop an ironman from transferring bought boots to a main account? To add on to that: such an update would potentially decrease the demand for vote books substantially, which I'm not sure is intended either.
