Certain rooms become problematic for slayer, especially for newer players who wish to experience everything alora has to offer. It's a shame when a new player finds the smoke devil boss, and see's someone else there, and it's a single combat zone. On osrs it's not an issue, as players can just hop worlds, however that cannot be done on alora.

 

I understand the argument for just adding instanced bosses, but that could really ruin the economy, not to mention people abusing usage of multiple alts killing the same boss 24/7

 

I would like to see another smoke devil boss added (just put two in that one room, rather than only one), and more kurasks - as the kurask room can only sustain 2 people usually (no other area on alora to kill them)

 

Possibly a second kalphite queen (someone on the edge for that, not sure how I feel) - it's not like it's going to ruin the economy, neither will a second smoke devil boss

 

More kalhpites in that one room would be awesome too, as it only supports one person.

SUPPORT! I Might be a little Bias on the matter seeing how i'm an Ironman but i think this would be beneficial to the server and new players.

Support for all.

 

Problem:

- We don't have a 2nd world/instances. Therefore if someone is already killing the monster(s), another person cannot, effectively limiting the content they can access.

- This doesn't support a growing player base; more and more people will be frustrated that they cannot access content (as another person already is).

 

Solutions:

- More spawns, like suggested here

- On osrs there is an extension to the kurask room with more kurasks

- Support on having 2 kq & thermo bosses

 

- GWD instances etc. - I don't believe it will be too overpowered - it'll just allow people to pvm freely

Why GWD instances won't be OP:

- Consider gorillas - there are heaps of spawns and people can kill them freely as much as they want, but it's not like zenyte/ballista prices have gone to shit because of it

- Many people are ironmen, meaning the items won't even flow into the economy - instances will just provide quality of life

- Hardcore pvmers that want to camp bosses can do so now - just have to crash/wait out/kill the boss on another timezone

- Instances won't mean everyone and their mother will be camping the bosses 247, it'll just be convenient for people who do want to kill them

Kalphite queen and the smoke devil are two popular slayer tasks which are normally very busy and new players can never kill them because there is always players who out-gear them.

Perhaps adding two bosses of each will give them more of a chance to find an empty boss as well as generally increasing the amount of certain slayer npcs.

I mentioned something like this in Lowkey's content poll thread. Full support.

A full ride of instanced bosses could be just what the community needed. I do understand that it could break the market a little, but there's a few options that could possibly fix that.

1. Make fixed prices for rare drops.

It seems kind of unconventional, but it could most certainly save the market from crashing substantially. But I would say that at first, leave this fixed item price off so that a rise in bossing gear can happen upon the release of instanced bosses, get some money flowing, and then when drops start to become dangerously frequent lock the prices so the prices of items don't crash.

2. Lock instanced rooms to ironmen only.

It seems more fair, ironmen can't trade so it won't break the market, and they're the ones that need bosses the most in my opinion.

3. Lower drop rates.

Probably the easiest thing to do, I think.

I don't know, it's a touchy subject but I would most certainly like to see instanced boss rooms in the future.
