I see people talking about 200M Capes.

I wonder if they will ever be added and wondering what they will look like?

 

Since OSRS does have them I wonder if Omicron can add them to Alora.

This is not a suggestion just a discussion about 200M Capes.

Seeing as over 90% of the players want it, I can only imagine they should be coming sometime in the future. Just be patient.

Would be nice, we'll see more players skilling rather than PKing, PVMing etc.

Honestly can't wait for this to be added, it would boost the high end game content which is something that i personally think Alora lacks.

Is this true? I haven't seen the 200m capes on OSRS myself and tried googling them but nothing came up. Contrary to what some have stated above, we have no plans for 200m capes at the moment simply because the models don't exist. Creating a cape for each skill is extremely time consuming, not to mention that you'd need considerable skill in designing models which I don't have (nor do I know anybody that does). I also dislike having custom models in the game and would rather not add some non-genuine ones. An old 07scape Reddit thread proposed some cool mock-ups for the 200m capes, and Mod Kieren replied with the same downside I just mentioned -- a ton of dev time for 23 capes x 2, 1 for each gender. Additionally, there are some master capes we can load from RS3 but they were never designed for the old 2007 character model and fit very weirdly, considering rs3 player models are more rounded/smoothed and the capes are more animated in a sense.

As I said, I am not aware of these existing in OSRS, and unfortunately until they do, we don't have any plans to add them in.

After reading @Omicron's post I feel this post might be a bit ignorant to how things are made, so I apologize in advance if this is too difficult an undertaking. Instead of making a new cape from scratch, why not take the already existing trimmed cap, and give it a new trim color. It's not a huge difference that it would look tacky (like many customs do), it's a good way to show appreciation towards those who've reached 200M experience in a skill, and it'd be recognizable by the community as an accomplishment. Just some potential middle ground.

Probably stupid question, but entertain a noob here... Are there level 120 capes in this server? I'm aware they aren't on OSRS, but just curious.

 

Edit: I would love 200m exp capes. I'm down for the grind!

Massive support for this idea. It'd give me more incentive to go for tedious 200m skills like farming
