If you're efficient, you can achieve 99 Hunter very fast.

• Gnome child hat is now tradable.
• The black chinchompa teleport has been moved slightly north, to level 34 wilderness.

• The Teleport wizard has a few new teleports to help you get around quicker:
  • Skilling:
    • Orange salamanders (desert location)
    • Black salamanders (wilderness location)

The fastest way is not necessarily that which gives most XP.

Black chincompas are very spread and located in wilderness, hence lined up red chinchompas is much faster.

 Level 1:
Lay up to 1 trap at a time
 
 Level 20:
Lay up to 2 traps at a time
 
 Level 40:
Lay up to 3 traps at a time
 
 Level 60:
Lay up to 4 traps at a time
 
 Level 80:
Lay up to 5 traps at a time
