What is your suggestion?:

 

Remove seed, ring, & egg bird nests drops from redwood trees

Every bird nest that drops from a redwood tree should include a clue scroll (source)

 

 

 

Allow the deposit looting bag button at deposit boxes to deposit logs/fish/gems from log basket/fish barrel/gem bag

 

 

 

Give clue nests a 20% boost when using twitcher's gloves at redwoods

 

 

Deposit the logs inside of worn log basket when banking (and using inventory presets)

Currently it doesnt work

 

 

Have the logs chopped go straight into the log basket like with fish barrel.  The open feature is currently missing.

It would be nice, to have at least one tree that drops ONLY clue scrolls, so when players do need them rather than getting every nest possible, you get clues.

Cuz in our best way to get a nest is birdhousing

no support. as variant says i get birds egg nests from woodcutting redwoods which is a nice alternative to being forced into bird house runs/miscellania.

I don't see removing seeds or eggs a QOL update (the opposite tbh). Seeds/eggs are always nice to get + there are already tons of ways to get clues in-game, as is.

You get both seeds and bird nest from opening a clue nest, so the only thing that's removed is rings and eggs.  Why?

 

Because

1. Bird eggs are useless once you've already unlocked the chicken outfit.  

2. Bird eggs are not even meant to be obtained from chopping redwoods. 

 

If you want bird eggs, chop other trees or just do birdhouses.

Acquiring optimal Woodcutting XP while gathering redwood logs for the lumberjack outfit, along with earning some of the best Fletching and Firemaking XP, and obtaining bird nests (eggs) for the evil chicken outfit presents a mutually beneficial scenario.

 

OSRS might have certain things, but that doesn’t mean Alora needs to follow suit or that the community wants it.

I like the option to deposit from various skilling sacks with the deposit box, so support for that.

 

As for removing certain kinds of bird's nest.. honestly I wouldn't mind the ring one gone, as it's completely worthless. You do get seeds from any bird nest you open, so even removing the seed ones as well wouldn't really change anything either. As for eggs, fully no support. sure birdhouses, and kingdom give a good bit of em, but sometimes people go mad dry for the set.. especially me back when the Zeah diary called for "Obtain 1 piece of evil chicken outfit" before it was removed. Redwoods helped me accomplish that goal at the time.

 

TLDR: Support depositing from skilling sacks/bags in deposit box, neutral on removing ring/seed nests (since all nests give seeds), and no support on removing egg nests.

If you want bird eggs, go do hunter or chop any other tree. Redwoods are meant to be dropping clues with every bird nest.

 

If your goal is chicken outfit -> birdhouses are the meta 

Don't want to do the meta?  Chop any other tree besides redwood

 

 

Here's how many birdnests I have collected in 133m hunter xp.  

I have 0 use for these and would much rather be getting clues like how it's supposed to work on OSRS.  

If people are really insistent on keeping bird eggs, add a toggle to disable bird eggs drops at redwoods.

I agree with this particular alignment with osrs. There are plenty of other ways to obtain seeds, rings are useless, and there are multiple other methods to getting birds eggs should you be adamant about obtaining the chicken outfit.

I'd be okay with being able to toggle what type of bird nests drop, I wouldn't like to see it fully disabled. The basket stuff would be fine tho.

If you think about how insanely easy it is to collect eggs from birdhouses compiled with how few eggs you get from woodcutting even hourly not to mention eggs becoming completely useless after collection log; I don't see why you wouldn't want this changed. Only getting clues from redwood nests is a massive buff to woodcutting and you have to be incredibly short sighted to think otherwise. Big support

I would say to add the benefits you are looking for without removing the current mechanics as they as useful to most players. Neutral!
