Hello everyone, 

 

Today I am suggestion that castle wars gets some sort of revamp to restore it and actually get the mini game itself into game. I don't know about everyone else but I loved playing castle wars and I feel that it could be a huge benefit to the server. I also feel that mini games are a huge bonus for the server maybe by attracting other players because this server has active castle wars, which many don't. 

 

Reasons why I feel it will Benefit

 

• Allowing players to receive that "pvp feel" (because of the wildy kinda needing a revamp itself.)
• Could be a weekday or weekend event held for the server
• Maybe on a day of the week it could be double castle wars points, as their is pest control points.
• Bring new content to the server for players to do
• Allowing players to obtain items in the castle wars shops (EX: Fighter torso, dragon defender, various random items or cosmetics like loyalty shop.
• Adding new cosmetic items or useful items that haven't hit alora in-game yet.

Great Idea! I'd love to actually see CW come to Alora. Rewards would also be nice to get, though Dragon Defender is normally a small grind to get. If there was to be a Dragon Defender in the reward shop, I'd love to see a combat level requirement to entre CW so EIM/HC/UIM dont abuse the store.

I totally agree, they were just some examples of items that could be in the shop! Maybe if the suggestion passes they could run a poll on what kind of items/requirements it holds.

Many of the items from Castle Wars on OSRS are in the loyalty shop on Alora, plus players can team/face each other in Clan Wars for safe PvP activities (there’s an achievement for 3 wins). Sometimes, there’s Clan Wars events, too. Lastly, it’s a spot for players to play gambling games such as blackjack and flower poker. Based on these, there isn’t really a point in adding Castle Wars into Alora as there’s no actual incentive to do it. Fighter Torso can already be obtained from Pest Control, and Dragon Defender can be obtained from Warrior’s Guild and Vote Shop.

With that said, I’m neutral.

If this was implemented and fixed I believe it would be a dope weekend event (Hint Hint @ king purple )

Support. Even as an Ironman and how much I hate getting shat on in the wildy, I do think there needs to be more pking on the server. This idea would get people more comfortable with pking and could bring more pking traffic to the server in the wildy.

I’ve seen CW be suggested several times and turned down every time. You make some good points and it would be kinda cool to see but at the end of the day like @ Moral truth said it’s the spot for gambling and I don’t see too big of a reason for it.

I like the idea, it could provide some different type of pvp game modes inside the Castle Wars. But as other’s stated, the Castle Wars rewards are already in the Loyalty shop, Pest Control already contain’s the fighter torse, Vote shop and etc.. Another thing is with the safe pvp, the Clan Wars is already so easy accessible that its kinda pointless.

For that reason I will remain Neutral.

Gotta go with @ Moral truth here, for the most part there's really no use in doing it other than nostalgia or a pvp itch, no support here mate sry

It would be cool to have, but I doubt it's worth the dev time. If it did get added to the game, I'd expect it to have the same amount of activity as LMS does now - dead all the time unless it's during a planned event hosted by our great event managers.

I think that if people actively played Castle Wars and it was rewarding they would add it. But it's simply a whole lot of coding for basically nothing. Nobody will play Castle Wars it's dead content.
