[Doc Hellish]

As the title states, it's a rather daft task to have and at the risk of sounding offensive, it's just a blatant cash grab. 

Many players, particularly the newer ones/non-normal mains won't have the ingame cash to buy it and are forced to either spend $10 or lose their streaks. 

Having spoken to a few players about it, I can't find anybody who thinks it is a good idea apart from possibly the merchers.

There's many other tasks that can replace this and I implore you to consider other options.

Support to remove from daily task. I was highly disappointed to see I wouldn't be able to continue my streak today.

Maybe have it as a 'bonus' task... completely ruined my streak when this popped up.

100% agree tbh it did not really help the merchers at all because no one really bought any bonds for it a lot of people just skipped it.  and like you said you lose a streak and well... in a roundabout way you are getting like 6 pts, I think for opening a bond =/ not worth it. 

 

from day one when that task popped up, there was a pretty big uproar . from a business standpoint, it's a great idea. but I think there are too few players willing to spend 70-80m or 10$ to complete 1 hard task to get a few daily points =/

That actually sounds neat, a bonus task that doesn't interfere with streaks.

Yeah I also hate this task, it just makes the server look greedy more than anything else. Especially as someone who has donated a ton to the server I don't want to be told to donate more.

Donations are needed to allow us to keep enjoying the game but when it’s forced like this it’s very off-putting. I agree it needs to go.

Agreed, and also i'd be pissed that your EIM is showing over your Master Donation status(at least on the forums)

Quite surprised this made it in-game. This shouldn't be a daily task for obvious reasons. I've sent it to Omicron for instant review; there's no reason you guys should be forced to buy a bond for a daily task.

Considering you can buy the bond with GP I can see why it was added, but yeah the big point to this is definitely not everyone can afford it.

Adding something based on 'buying' a task is just a bad idea in the first place. It's a task, not a MTX.

Seeing something you dislike from one point of view is also ignorant, they are just random tasks. No one is forcing you to do the task, it is also a very easily attainable item in the game. A few hours doing a PvM boss and you can achieve a bond.

That's not the case for Ironmen though, seeing as we have trade restrictions. I wouldn't mind having this task as a bonus that doesn't affect streaks, as someone previously stated. I don't have an alternate account so I have no other way to obtain a bond other than donating (which I did yesterday, for the sake of keeping my streak alive).
