Diva is bringing back the coveted member of the month and it will include an in game badge on the forums, much like the other ones you see under some members names.

 

I wanted to see what the community thinks about adding a custom rank for the member of the month, it would be [Motm] in-game and it would last for the entire month, until a new member of the month is selected. I'm thinking the tag would be a nice black color!

 

The member of the month would also have their own spot on the forums dedicated to them for the entire month. Many forums have this, and I've included an example below.

 

 

Getting member of the month should be celebrated and rewarded, as it's a player who exemplifies dedication to alora.

 

Maybe we could even get Slyther to make a cool graphics for the motm section! 

 

EDIT: a custom signature and a bond could be included as well

I think that it is an excellent addition and would promote forum activity which is much needed.
The in-game badge is something that interests me, anything more specific you had in mind other then just a 'black' tag?

Also, this would be my first time around during a motm thread. 
How is said member chosen, is it via a poll or is there a certain grading criteria?

I think this would be a pretty nice feature. As long as this doesn't go to that persons head and make them think that they're better then everyone else.

In the past it's been voted on by the staff team. There's no specific criteria -  It's forum and ingame based, and the winner(s) are usually involved in both

Sounds good. As long as it remains staff(I'd say, higher staff mod+) choosing the motm and not polled out to players to choose should go down well.

I think this is a great idea and definitely support!

I also would love to participate in creating any of the awards/signatures if needed.

The in game rank would also be a pretty cool feature for a player to receive.
